After quite a bit of research and much deliberation, I decided to reinstall the original battery cables back into my Jeep. When removing the original cables I figured I would be able to replace them with generic battery cables. Unfortunately after removing them I discovered that the cables were proprietary and I would basically need to purchase new cables from the dealer. My cables are really not in that bad of shape. I figured I would just replace them since they are normally around $10-$15. However, I found through my research that new cables would cost me upwards of $200.00.
I had my battery tested recently and I was informed that it was on it’s last leg. So, I purchased a new battery and attached all the cables and installed the battery.
